August 16, 2022IN BLOG POSTS BY MARSHAM COURT HOTEL

We understand that guests come to stay with us for a range of reasons and many of them are because of what Bournemouth and the surrounding areas offer for activities, sports, and entertainment.

Whether you are visiting as a family, coming on your own for a weekend golfing experience, or coming with a group of golfers, we pride ourselves on understanding and supporting you to make sure you get the most out of your time here.  As a visitor to Bournemouth, you’ll find many ‘pay to play’ courses which happily welcome non-members and will cater to groups of different sizes.

Bournemouth is the place to play golf whatever the season

Bournemouth’s acres of lush green parks and gardens have many impressive golf courses, some of which date back to the 1890s. With the added benefit of fresh sea air rolling along the fairways, our golf courses have an outstanding reputation for novice or seasoned golfers.

As Bournemouth also enjoys a temperate climate you will find most clubs are open throughout the year, this is great news as you can often get a game well into the autumn and winter seasons.

Let us help you choose the right golf course for your stay

Our reception staff are always on hand with any queries from guests. We can tell which are the closest golf clubs and how to get there. Let us know when you book and we can find out the choice of options and which one might suit your needs best. There are at least five golf courses in the area, all offering something different. We can help you contact the right clubs, so you can also find out if there are any special offers or seasonal deals.

As well as playing golf, we have some friendly independent golfing retailers who have a wide range of golfing clubs, accessories and clothes with experts who can answer all your needs.

Golf for all the family?

If you are a family with some children who like to try golf for a bit of fun, there are also many adventure golf courses, including the well-known and popular Smugglers Adventure Golf, near the sea front. These cater for all ages and can be walked to from the hotel.

After an afternoon, playing golf, what better place to relax and swop stories of the day than a drink at Marsham Court Hotel, overlooking the stunning views of Bournemouth Bay.
