Amazing Wedding Surprise!

August 21, 2018IN BLOG POSTS BY MARSHAM COURT HOTEL

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Murray-Fretwell who got married here on 18th August 2018!

What a busy day it was for the couple! Chantal’s mum had planned a horse and carriage for her before the wedding. Both Kat, the wedding coordinator and Andy, the operations manager, knocked on the bride’s bedroom door to ask her to come down for a “meeting” about the wedding. She was looking very confused as we walked her around the hotel and outside into the car park. At the end of it, she was met by the beautiful horse and carriage. Tears were streaming down her face as she was so happy! So as Chantal went for a ride, it was all go on setting up for the ceremony.

Chantal & Callum got married at Marsham Court Hotel outside in the Wedding Pagoda (finally, a wedding outside in August!). Afterwards, the guests enjoyed a bucks fizz reception whilst the bride and groom went for a ride in the horse and carriage and also took some photos over at the Russell Cotes Museum.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast. The room was beautifully set up by ST-Events with their twinkle light backdrop and lovely chair covers. The evening soon came and everyone enjoyed having a dance and taking some funny photos in the photo booth that they’d hired.

Congratulations to the both of you!

Please see below what the Bride and her Mother had to say about the special day:

Bride:

Absolutely fantastic staff! Kat Tegg and Andy Thompson brilliant members of staff who helped make mine and my husband’s wedding as special and magical as it could be! Even last minute changes they had it all covered! Very welcoming, very understanding and definitely know what they are doing! Great organisers! Glad my mum chose this hotel for my wedding, highly recommend!!

Bride’s Mother:

Well, what can I say… my daughter had her wedding here on Saturday and what a lovely day we all had. Kat the wedding coordinator was there every step of the way, even changing last minute plans that happened the night before and on the day, and for keeping the biggest surprise a secret the horse and carriage, what a memorable day it was, all the hotel staff bent over backward for us all. Andy Thompson (operational manager ) is a very lovely and funny person going out of his way to help the elderly and he really did make the wedding a fun relaxing day. Thank you all so much. I would recommend this hotel and I will be going back. Wish I could turn back time and relive it all again.
