With fabulous views over the sea, The Retreat Bar & Eatery is just perfect for a quick lunch, afternoon tea,
drinks with friends or a catch-up with a business colleague in Bournemouth.
The Retreat is also dog-friendly so it's perfect to pop in for a bite to eat or drink after a leisurely walk through the Town or on the beach. We even have a Doggy Menu!
With table top chargers and plenty of power points too, our local business guests have everything they need to be in the office - when they're out of the office!

The Retreat Bar & Eatery: Laid-Back Dining with a Coastal Touch
Set within the hotel, The Retreat Bar & Eatery is a casual, flexible space for guests and visitors to enjoy coffee, lunch, or evening drinks. With beautiful views across the gardens and out to sea, it’s a relaxing setting for catching up with friends, working remotely, or taking a quiet break after exploring the town.
The Retreat is open daily and caters to families, couples, solo diners, and business guests. Power points and table-top chargers are available throughout, making it an ideal choice for working away from the office. It’s also proudly dog-friendly, with a dedicated Doggy Menu and outdoor seating that welcomes four-legged companions.
Each afternoon, guests can enjoy Bar O’Clock from 5pm to 6pm, featuring 25% off drinks (excluding hot drinks, Champagne, and large bottles of Prosecco or wine). A 5% discretionary service charge is added to purchases in The Retreat and is shared among the hotel team.
The Plantation Restaurant
Our Plantation Restaurant serves a freshly prepared full buffet breakfast. Guests can help themselves to a wide range of Continental and English Breakfast options to suit their tastes and appetites.
We have vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, lactose free and diabetic options available and if you don't see what you require - just ask a member of the restaurant team who will be happy to assist you.
Our evening menu in the Plantation Restaurant changes daily and our Chef's prepare a delicious selection of homemade dishes using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
Every morning, The Plantation Restaurant serves a generous buffet breakfast, with a wide choice of English and continental dishes. Guests with dietary requirements will find vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, and diabetic-friendly options available, with the team on hand to offer assistance if needed.
In the evening, the restaurant offers a changing three-course table d’hôte menu, prepared by in-house chefs using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. The welcoming setting and attention to detail make it an ideal choice for a relaxed and satisfying meal after a day on the coast.
