What to do in Bournemouth this Halloween?

Hi everyone,

Halloween 2018 is almost here and this year celebrations start early! There are plenty of spooky events happening around Bournemouth and Poole in the upcoming days to make this celebration even more special. We have put together a list of the most significant ones below:

Pumpkin Carving
25 October

On Thursday you can join the artist John House for a session of pumpkin carving with a difference. Once you have finished, you can take your unique pumpkin home. Find out more about the event here.

Southbourne’s Frankenfest
27 October

Join the Halloween celebrations in Southbourne from 12 PM! See the parade, listen to music on Southbourne Grove and watch performance from the Mother Ukers. With entertainment throughout the day including arts and crafts, fire displays and best dressed competition you can’t get bored. Find out more here.

Poole Zombie Fest
27 October

This Halloween zombies will parade through Poole Town Centre! Zombie Fest is a free and family-friendly event in the Dolphin Shopping Centre and full of spooky activities . Visitors are encouraged to dress up as zombies for the day. Read more here.

The Block Party Halloween Festival
27 October

In the evening join everyone on the streets of Lansdowne for a massive Block Party. There are over 40 DJs and other artists that will perform across 5 different venues. Get more information on the Festival’s website.

The Shelley Frankenstein Festival
31 October – 4 November

The Shelley Frankenstein Festival was established to celebrate the life and works of the Shelley family, some of whom lived in the Boscombe / Bournemouth area and many of whom are buried in Bournemouth. On the evening of Weds, 31st Oct., St Peter’s will be offering a Gala Frankenstein Dinner at the Marsham Court Hotel, and this is a central part of the Festival.
