On Tuesday the 20th June – students from Lytchett Minster School joined our Head Chef, Brad Instance, at the hotel for a fun and interactive morning to learn more about the role of a Chef in the hospitality industry.

As an active member of the Dorset Young Chamber programme we are really enthusiastic about ensuring that the essential creative and soft skills that are needed in Hospitality are encouraged and nurtured and that the industry as a whole doesn’t become a forgotten profession in our fast paced, ever changing digital world.

The Dorset Young Chamber programme, run by Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, seeks to bring education and business together to help provide motivating and inspiring careers guidance to young people through a range of activities (such as career talks, visits to businesses, placements for young people and teachers and inspirational workshops) as well as helping embed soft skills such as teamwork and communication, attributes employers always tell as are so important for young people entering the world of work.
