This week our Sous Chef Pete Knighton together with Operations Manager Nigel Reeve, paid a visit to Manorside Primary School in Poole to make Christmas Puddings with the children.
15 lucky children ranging in age from 4 to 10 were chosen to take part in the fun festive activity by their teachers to reward good behaviour and progress and they were all very excited when we arrived.
They had great fun learning about the history of the Christmas Pudding and working together to make their pud’s to take home to their families. They all got into the spirt of the activity in their chefs hats and learnt to shout ‘YES CHEF’ at every opportunity.
As winners of the Business Engagement with Education Award at the recent Dorset Business Awards we were thrilled to be able to work with these younger children and would like to think that it will help open their minds to a whole host of opportunities available to them in the hospitality and catering industry.
